Practice Tests Non-Calculator Section
WEEK ONE: Take the practice (pre-test). 11 question - 14 minutes. This is a NON CALCULATOR portion, it is important for students to keep in mind that almost one third of the SAT is non-calculator for the SAT.
WEEK TWO: Topic is y = mx + b, learning to identify the slope and y-intercept of an equation and graph. Watch the video and then try the practice problems.

WEEK TWELVE Rates and Pythagorean Theorem - Watch the first video (Act One) and answer questions 1 - 3. After the students have answered questions 1 - 3 show the students the two images under Act two (the dimensions, the speed). Have student answer the rest of the questions. Once everyone is done show the solution video further down the page.

WEEK THIRTEEN Adding and Subtracting Fractions - Watch both videos: 1st video we are going to go over adding and subtracting fractions that do not have the same denominator (unlike fractions). The first way to do this is to find the “easiest common denominator” of the two fractions. 2nd video we are going to go over the other way to add and subtract fractions that do not have the same denominator (unlike fractions). We will talk about finding the “least common denominator”. Then hand out the practice problems.
